Problem #2

Ok, so I managed to find a dress that I really like...it's winging it's way over from China as we speak!!

Problem is, the dress is kind of smart and I have no idea what the hell kind of shoes to wear with it.....bearing in mind I wear these boots with everything. And no, that's not me exaggerating.

I want to wear my beloved booties but I feel it may be a bit of a faux pas...

Help?

The Dress

Ok...so I've spent hours and hours looking at dresses on Ebay, Etsy, a billion different websites. Granted, I don't know exactly what I want, but I have an idea.

It can't be long. Handfasting in a forest, full length gown is end up dirty and gross.

It must be light. I want to go for alight and floaty, forest faerie aesthetic. I think maybe chiffon or something similar would be good.

Colour is not a bad thing! I like the idea of a very lightly coloured dress...in lilac perhaps?

aaaaand if I'm being totally honest that's as far I've got.

I'm seriously considering making my own dress and, following this idea, have sketched something out.

It's kind of inspired by this little beauty I found on Etsy a long time ago.

I don't know what I want!!! I can tell already that this will be the most stressful thing to sort out.

Honeymoon

I wasn't really bothered either way about having a honeymoon but my dear Mam showed me a website last night that is full of amazing places. It's called Canopy and Stars and they have some beautiful places where you can stay for a couple of night of even a couple of weeks.

This one is my favourite...this is the place i need to see for myself. The term "honeymoon" sounds so cheesy and hollow to me, but, I would love to spend a night of two there with my soul mate before we get back to the everyday rush of normal life.

This blog is going to be a dumping ground for all my ideas and inspiration regarding mine and my betrothed's handfasting.

If you don't know what handfasting is, I'm going to provide a link in the sidebar with an explanation.

Anyway, back to the planning! I shall update this as and when i can be bothered to transfer things from my notebook
